On 532 Green Street, between Grand and Columbus in the town’s trendy North Beach/Telegraph Hill section, a unique culinary endeavor beckons those with a taste for something truly different…
As a unique eatery offering a tantalizing menu of Korean, Barbeque and Asian Fusion cuisine, HRD Smokin’ Grill is the sister restaurant of San Francisco’s HRD Coffee Shop but expands upon its menu with specialties such as BBQ Chicken and Kalbi, Slaw, Kimchee Fried Rice and the all-time favorite of guests, the Kimchee Burrito. If you’re craving something truly unique in the City by the Bay, HRD is the answer – from Spicy Pork Korean Bibimbaps and Sweet Chili Fried Pork Chops to Pulled Pork Tacos, a truly exotic taste bud temptation awaits at HRD Smokin’ Grill. A casual, overtly friendly atmosphere and staff further add to the intrigue and magnetism of one of North Beach’s most talked-about dining spots.
It’s all about the Kimchee Burrito at North Beach’s trendy HRD Smokin’ Grill, which has become one of my go-to dining joints in San Francisco – but the goodness doesn’t stop there. Massive portions of Chili Fried Pork Chops and lip-smacking sides such as Kimchee Fried Rice and Slaw take this menu to a whole other level. Definitely recommended when you’re in the mood for something truly different! -- Brit T.
The “Asian Fusion” concept always seemed a bit hokey to me…is it Asian? Is it Hawaiian? Is this really something worth giving an actual cuisine category to? I found my answers at HRD Smokin’ Grill in the North Beach district. Nearly every bite of food was bursting with what I would definitely call an “Asian twist” – Kimchi, Spicy Pork, Fried Egg and Rice, not to mention the dish my partner tried which was a Sweet Chili Fried Pork Chop, encrusted in a thick outer layer that was mouthwatering. Two hearty thumbs up! -- Jason S.
Not only is the food better than the original but so is the new location! Bravo HRD! -- Tim L.
